Have You Been to the Top 10 New Bars?

Looking over the list for Boston, I haven’t. I need to get out there!

  1. District
  2. Red Sky Restaurant & Lounge
  3. Diva Lounge
  4. The Lincoln
  5. Tommy Doyles Irish Bar
  6. 6B
  7. Revolution Rock Bar
  8. Alchemist Lounge
  9. The Charlesmark Lounge
  10. The Draft

I think #10’s first on the list, as it’s closest to me.

If you don’t live in Boston but some other metropolitan area, don’t worry: MSN has more top ten new bars lists.

I’ve been several times to the Alchemist, but that’s it. The Alchemist is a really fun, happening place.

This may be an odd question, but is it worth a cab ride back? The one thing I really hate about going to clubs in Boston is the inevitable need to take a cab back after the T has closed. Plus, Alchemist is all the way at the end of the E line. Factor in the cost of cover, drinks, and somewhat optimistic drunken spending, and it could get pretty pricey.

I would say if you are looking for a friendly, young-ish (but not totally) crowd, diverse as far as straight and gay, and lots room to move around in (it’s a large space) as well as great food (if you decide to eat there), it is worth the trip! I am in my 40s and I have a great time there, so I suppose that’s saying a lot!

With that sort of recommendation, I think I’ll have to go. Thanks!

    My pleasure!

I drink too much. The last time I gave a urine sample it had an olive in it.
