2006 Wine Facts
I meant to post this back on December 31 in some fantastic booze year in review post but was unfortunately busy alternating between doing work and drinking.
Anyway, Andy Andresky, the co-host of a cable show called “Wine Talk” and owner of 1776 Restaurant in Crystal Lake, IL, has compiled a number of interesting factoids about wine in the year 2006. It’s centered around Illinois, but there is a good selection of interesting domestic and international numbers. For example, there are about 3950 wineries in the USA and less than half of them are in California! That could make for quite a road trip.
