Drink Mixers Work Well for Food

DinnerDo you have a whole bunch of drink mixers and don’t know what to do with them? The first choice is obviously to drink them, but if you really don’t feel like drinking, then using them for cooking is a great idea, too. It’s a simple way to give your dishes an interesting taste would be great for desserts, dips, sauces, etc. that would be reminiscent of your favorite drinks without the nasty next-day hangover. (P.S. I already broke my first resolution last night.)

I especially enjoy the idea of the winter rum sauce and garlic mojito sauce in the linked article. Now, I’m trying to think of a good way to use up some of this sour mix that’s been sitting in my fridge for a year. Perhaps I could thicken it with a little flour and reduce it over heat. Then, use it for grilling chicken. Any other ideas?
