Lame Post
Sigh, there are simply not enough hours in the day. Then again, I did already break resolution #3, which covered posting once a day. My excuse for January 21, though, is that I was traveling all day long from Canadia back to Boston.
Anyway, before I conk out from exhaustion, here’s a bunch of interesting links:
- Useful Books for Bartenders and Enthusiasts: Darcy at The Art of Drink puts together a heck of a list of drinking books. The only one I’d replace is the beer book with perhaps something by Michael Jackson rather than limiting yourself to Canadian beers, but I understand from where he’s coming. Now, I just have to read all of those! The reading list continues to grow.
- Foggy Wine Glasses Are Not the End of the World: I’m definitely guilty of putting my glasses in the dishwasher, but hey, I’m lazy. Plus, I’m poor, so these aren’t exactly high quality fine crystal. It’s whatever was the cheapest thing at Target. However, you can apparently fix the fogging problem by soaking the glasses in vinegar for a few hours.
- Mount Gay Top Luxury Brand: Don’t know what to get the pirate with discerning taste? Mount Gay is apparently The Rum. It topped the 2007 Luxury Institute Luxury Brand Status Index survey fro premium rum.

I’ll second the Michael Jackson comment. I have a couple of his books and they’re excellent (although one is a bit dated).
