EU Vodka War Reaches Possible Ceasefire

If you’ve been reading for a while, then you’ll likely recall the big hullabaloo over the definition of vodka in the European Union. A bill was even introduced that would’ve required non-potato, non-grain vodka to be relabeled as “white spirit“.

Well, this little war between vodka factions may have finally reached a watershed moment with the European Parliament’s Environment and Food Safety Committee vote to allow the sale of vodkas not made from potatoes or cereals as long as they are labeled that way. (Plenty more stories.)

Yes, this may seem like a truly obvious compromise, but you have to remember that these folks are politicians.
