Boston Beer & Wine Weekend Events
This weekend is looking hotter and hotter despite the frickin’ cold weather here in Boston! There’s a major event for both wine and beer lovers:
For wine lovers, there is the 16th Annual Boston Wine Expo on February 10-11. This is definitely the wine event of the year. Tickets are currently $85 for one-day tickets or $120 for two-day tickets. Plus, there are all sorts of seminars for which you can pay through the nose. In exchange for your hard-earned cash, you get a souvenir glass, a thick magazine, wine samples from 400+ wineries, food samples, and “much more”.
For beer lovers, there is the 4th Annual Extreme Beer Fest. Tickets are apparently sold out, so you’ll either have to try your luck begging on Craigslist, try one of the numerous ticket retail outlets (they’ve been sold out online for a really long time), or drink wine instead.
I’m supposed to be volunteering at the Extreme Beer Fest (say hi if you see me!), though I haven’t heard back yet about my assignment, so I’m getting a little nervous here!
