Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

I must apologize for the recent spate of sporadic posting. I’ve been away skiing and transcribing the interview with Jeremy Cowan just wiped me out! There’s a slew of news from the last few days that I’ll be posting in quick succession today/tomorrow.

Don’t worry. I’m still drinking! That includes bourbon in a hip flask and several beers on the slopes. If you’re at Killington, I recommend drinking some Long Trail IPA. If you’re at Sunday River, then I recommend drinking some Shipyard Export Ale. Next weekend, I’ll figure out what’s good at Sugarloaf. Sure, you can drink the standard Bud or Corona on the slopes, but you can get that anywhere. Try something local instead. Just make sure that you don’t drink so much that you ski smack into a tree!

Also, I should warn you that March may be a sporadic month due to the amount of traveling that I’m doing. In fact, I’m currently scheduled to spend only six whole days in my own apartment. However, I’ll be hitting up the internet cafes to try to keep the entries flowing! In the meantime, if you’re thirsty for some blogging, I recommend checking out the blogroll. There are some great blogs linked there. I never wanted to try to monopolize drinking news. It’s good to have multiple sources. The tagline “Alcohol’s Official Weblog” is more hyperbole and wishful thinking than fact.

In the meantime, I’ve managed to hack together some current headlines via Google News. If you look in the lower righthand corner, you’ll see a dropdown menu with links underneath. Just select an item from the dropdown menu, and the links will change. These headlines are automatically updated. Please let me know if I’m missing any important keywords in the dropdown.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
