Where the Hell is Mike?

Mike is in Paris, France.

Unfortunately, internet and phone access is not as cheap and readily available as I would like. As a result, I’ve only now dared to spend 25€ ($32.78) for 24 hours of internet access from my hotel room. It’s a little painful (ahem, please buy advertising), but I really can’t go this long without going online. Besides, I had to write an email to the girlfriend. I figure that’s worth at least 25€!!!

In case you’re wondering, yes, Paris is a blast. This is my first time here, and I’m trying to live it up as much as possible. That includes drinking plenty of wine, because well, it costs about the same as drinking anything non-alcoholic. I also did spring for a Heineken today while waiting for Le 404 to empty out a bit for a seat. However, it’s mostly been red wine.

Anyway, I’ll update with more interesting drinking news as soon as I get the chance. Until then, please enjoy some drinking-related pictures coming to you from Paris. One thing I didn’t manage to catch a picture of was the Beaujolais Villages from last night, but I left the camera in the hotel due to constant Parisian drizzle.

The (decent) free wine is what makes international flights bearable. The Romanian woman next to me asked for more!

European Heineken

The beer selection mostly stinks in France, hence Heineken at Andy Wahloo. However, my palate imagination says this tastes much better than in the USA!

Hmmm, I’ll have to remember to hit up Le 404, that looks really great.

Thanks for coming by the way, that was a lot of fun! You’ll have to update me on the absinthe.

People who drink light 'beer' don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee alot.
