Wow...I love your site. I stumbled upon it on accident and am completely thrilled with what I've laid eyes on. I have just started drinking wine and needed to find some good informative materials in which to dive. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the report. I'm happy to learn that the French don't bother with wine glasses, as I do not either.

Get clarification on what counts as "table" or "region" wine.

My friends just came back from Argentina with a couple handful of Havana Club (anejo blanco) bottles, and man are they good.

I actually just bought a bottle of absinthe today. Somewhat embarassingly, the primary reason I bought it was the bottle was in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. However, it looks promising, and it's a product of France. Oddly enough, I hadn't seen any until today and am a bit unclear on their laws, but this particular absinthe does contain wormwood. I'll be sure to post about it later.

Bonjour, Mike! Don't know if it's too late, but if you're still in Paris, try getting your hands on some absinthe. I hear the French stuff is pretty good. If you do get a chance to try some, I'd love a full report, since it's banned here in les Etats-Unis! :)
