Could Random Alcohol Testing Be Next?

Trimega Laboratories has announced its latest product: hair alcohol testing. The company has developed the ability to determine how much alcohol a person has consumed over the past few months or years by analyzing one’s hair. The test is based on fatty acid derivatives that are absorbed in hair as alcohol is broken down.

Could this soon be added to random drug tests? With a cost of $692 per test, it probably won’t be any time soon. However, don’t be surprised if you get your right to drink trampled on sometime in the near future.
