Canada Gets Beer Vending Machines

Yes, even the Japanese are cooler than we are.

Oh, no! Our friends up north are now officially cooler than we are with the introduction of beer vending machines. As I discovered at Whistler, liquor stores in Canadia must actually follow stricter rules than much of the USA, so this is quite the surprise. Of course, they have special restrictions to prevent underage drinking, though, as the new machines will only accept special tokens.

Unfortunately, I don’t foresee this trend appearing in the States anytime soon.

The funny thing I always found when I was in Canada was that companies rarely advertised how good their beer was but rather that you could get MORE beer for the same money. $10 didn’t just get you a 12 pack, it got you a 17 pack!

The USA needs this. How can we consider ourselves a legitimate superpower without beer vending machines?? ;-)

I drink too much. The last time I gave a urine sample it had an olive in it.
